Design Technology
The aim of Design and Technology at Hinckley Parks is to offer children the opportunity to meet the three threshold concepts in art and design, these are:
• To master practical techniques - developing the skills needed to make high-quality products.
• To take inspiration from design - appreciating the design process that has influenced the products we use in everyday life.
• To design, make, evaluate and improve - developing the process of design, by thinking and seeing design as an iterative process.
Children will be given the opportunity to work with a wide variety of media and tools and they will have opportunity to create final pieces and evaluate their own work and the work of others.
